About Whitney Benefits

Whitney Benefits, established in 1927 in Sheridan, Wyoming, honors the legacy of Edward A. Whitney, who bequeathed his fortune to enrich his community. The organization provides interest-free student loans, supports educational programs at Sheridan College, and maintains Whitney Commons Park for community enjoyment. With nearly $100 million granted to Sheridan College and $16 million for community improvements, Whitney Benefits is committed to fostering educational opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for its beneficiaries while adhering to the highest fiduciary standards.

  • The application deadline for Fall 2024 funding for new loans is Sept. 1, 2024
  • The deadline for students with current loans for Fall funding is October 1st and for Spring funding is March 1st.
